Hello

visiting!

If you hadn't realised, I changed my blogskin already cause I find this really nice. Anyway, I also changed my blog song in lieu of the upcoming National Day. It's been a long time since I last posted. Lots of thing to post. Shall start my post with Saturday, 26 July.

26 July, Saturday
Had my haircut before heading to Sim Lim Square to buy a camera. Anyway that's not my main point. My sister, XX and I visited The Night Safari. FYI if you all didn't know the Night Safari is the World's First and I think only Night Safari. Honestly speaking, I really didn't know. Had burger before we entered the park. Took some pictures there before the the sun set and there's practically no light. I didn't take pictures of the animals, like the name suggests, IT'S IN THE NIGHT, so there's not much lighting and the animals just look black in my phone. It's so cool there, I mean it's my first time there. It simply didn't look or feel like I'm in Singapore. Anyway, I think the Otters were the best. They were so small and cute and made funny noises almost like squeaking. Plus we got to see them swimming in the pool with their little head surfacing from the clear water. Lots of animals there like the flying squirrels, hyenas, deers(lots of them roaming around the park if you take the tram), giraffes, crocodiles, bats, leopards etc. ( I can't remember all)

Anyway after my trip to Night Safari, I learnt something.

Things to Bring if Going to Night Safari

  • Bring a torchlight ( It's awfully dark there though I don't think we can bring strong flash light there.)
  • Bring your own bottle of water or drink ( The prices there...off the chart)
  • Wear a good pair of shoe ( You gonna need to walk a long long distance to see the animals)
  • A good camera if you intend to take photos of the animals ( No FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY!)
  • Lastly, any object that can be used as a fan ( It was quite hot when I went there)

Erm...had tonnes of tests this week and Common Test is coming soon like in two or three weeks time.

I did this just now using Photoshop. Haha took me a long time cause I totally forgot what I learnt during ICT.

Friday, July 25, 2008 4:19 PM

These few days it has been raining cats and dogs. The weather is super cooling with strong breezey blowing. Anyway I took 2 photos during one of the countless rainstorm.

It's so so dark, it looks like a typhoon is here.

Anyway back to my main motive of posting today, though I have tonnes of homework waiting for me to complete. But before I forgot, 206 joined the inter-class drama competition yesterday. And...guess what *drum roll...* we got second despite the fact that our script was a rush cause we only wrote it the day before the competition. The competition required us to write a script based on a Shakespearan ( I forgot how to spell). So we chose " All's Well That Ends Well". It requires a bed trick or a bed scene. The play was damn funny cause we used a long towel to cover up the bed scene. LOL. BTW I had a role in that play.

Okay back to my main topic. Jian Bin commented that I look like Dexter. The guy from the CN cartoon show.

So I decided to come up with a check-list to see if I do look like him. So here goes nothing.

CHECKLIST TO SEE IF YOU LOOK LIKE OR YOU ARE DEXTER

Dexter--Short in the Show

Me--Short in Reality

Dexter--Have Orange Hair

Me--Have Black Hair

Dexter--Have Partly Curly Hair

Me--Have Partly Curly Hair

Dexter--Wears a White Robe

Me--Wears a White School Uniform 7 hours on weekday

Dexter-- Wears Purple Gloves

Me-- I Don't Wear Gloves

Dexter--Have Black Shoes

Me--I Have No Black Shoes

Dexter--Irritated by Sister

Me--Irritating my Sister

Dexter--Wears Glasses

Me--Wears Glasses

Dexter--Super Smart

Me--Dumb

Dexter--Have Weird Gadgets

Me--Have a Phone

And My Score is....5/10. Thus this makes me 50% like Dexter. I hate to admit but technically, Jian Bin is right.

Anyway going to end the post with another picture I made during ICT using Photoshop. Appreciate it cause I forgot the steps already.

I HAVE NOTHING TO POST. OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT THERE'S NO GEOGRAPHY TEST TODAY. THERE'S NOTHING TO POST. I WON'T BE POSTING FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS WEEKS.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008 6:37 PM

Today we went to Khong Wai Shiung Hospital for CIP. Yeah, we achieved 3 hours of CIP hours. Anyway took some photos on the way there. Ok I am not going to talk about it, just posting pictures.

I didn't see this dead bird today. I saw it last night, squashed by cars.

I have no idea whether is it the engine that is flammable or the entire car.

The old folks there listening to performers singing.

The picture is blur. By the way it's Kai Xin and Zi Qing singing.

Group teacher photo. Spot Mr Tan yet?

Okay, this "Karma" thing is like mentioned every now and then in the class by Pei Qi and Jian Bin. Well, the online dictionary says that Karma is the good or bad emanations felt to be generated by someone or something. I also don't know the meaning of emanation. Anyway I think I am kinda influenced by them already. Well this is because of something that happened this morning. Because we didn't really pay attention during class, Mr Tan kept us back during recess. And it was not like 1 to 2 minutes but like the entire recess. Well back to my point, we were doing some argumentative essay plan thing. Then it was the end of recess already and Mr Tan left the class. I think I was going to wipe the board or something when I found something on the chair. It was......Mr Tan's car key. I forgot what exactly happened but the key ended up with Derek. As it is a general knowledge that Derek leaves the class the first as if he is rushing for time ALL THE TIME.

Anyway, Mr Tan came to our class to find for his car keys but to no avail because Derek has left the class with the keys hanging around in his pocket. (FYI due to GCE O-level oral we were dismissed at 12pm! Woo-Hoo!) KARMA. By the way, I still don't know whether Derek returned the key back to Mr Tan or not.

Ok going to do a quiz I kope from Shun Feng.

Yesterday was THE funniest day ever. Okay firstly after Video Journalism, Sin Yee, Meng Yeow and Shao Hui climbed in the classroom via the window. Yeah it sounds weird but I have pictures as evidence. The reason why they climbed in via the window is because Grace hasn't came back to open the door and we were all like rushing to go for recess. Apparently, they took off the window panes and squeezed in. Post the pictures later. Then during CCA, th upper secondary were doing some kind of survey or project offering Free HUGS! It was...WOW cause I thought FREE HUGS were just like available in Orchard Road. And Grace hugged one of the seniors. Oh forgot to add that after they squeezed in the class, they took 3-5 minutes to realise that....The Back Door was not CLOSED... Totally funny...lol :D

I supposed they realise how silly they were. Ok time for the pictures.

Ok I been waiting very long to get my hands on this picture. Finally got to kope it from Meng Yeow. Woots, thanks.

For some freaking reason, my internet connection was down the entire morning but then it's ok again. Weird. Anyway yesterday I saw something. Ta-Daah...

Well if you can read it, it is actually a cookie with HSM casts' pictures printed on it. Don't the cookies look too good to be eaten? Actually not really. I mean can you imagine sinking your teeth in the cookie and chewing off Troy's head? I certainly can't.

Anyway today is Youth Day!! Woots, no school, just lazing away. Didn't do much stuff today except sleeping cause it was raining and the weather is just too suitable for sleeping. Oh found this super funny website showcases local spoofs.

The website is http://www.laughoutloud.com.sg/ and here are some videos that can be found on the website.

Enjoy the super funny videos and also take note of the lame jokes at the end at the credits.

And before I end the post, I went to Hort Park on Saturday and I saw something creepy. Literally. Can you guess what is this? By the way, the picture is kinda blur. Answer will be revealed in the next post. Post your answer on my tagboard.

Posting for three days in a row. Kope this from Joyce. Our beloved English teacher Mr Tan wanted us to write an essay on the whiteboard and ta-daaa our lovely creation! This was created like ages ago though.

I woke up this morning, to find that my alarm clock did not ring. I ran downstairs and quickly ate my breakfast. I gathered my papers. I drove to work and was stuck in a traffic jam for an hour. Then I reached the office, I saw my girlfriend. Once she saw me, she gave me a slap and a kick because she found out that I had been to Geylang yesterday night. In her anger, she splashed hot tea over my head. My phone rang. Before I could even manage to pick up the phone, my girlfriend snatched my phone away and answered it. Unfortunately, it was the lady whom I had visited the night before...

Yeah that was when Mr Tan stopped our imagination juice from flowing....lol

Today, the Taiwanese students ended their short 2 days visit with us. Took some photos of them with my form teacher in it.

For some reason or the other, now cannot kope pictures from my blog already. Oh before I end, I am going to post this meaningful email from Xin Hui. Enjoy

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,

'Oh excuse me please' was my reply.

He said, ' Please excuse me too;I wasn't watching for you.'

'We were very polite, the stranger and I.

We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told,

How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal,

My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.

'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken.

I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed,God's still small voice came to me and said,

'While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor,You'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you.

He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,

you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.

'By this time, I felt very small,

And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;

'Wake up, little one, wake up,' I said.

'Are these the flowers you picked for me?'

He smiled, 'I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.

I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.

'I said,

'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;

I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.

'He said,

'Oh, Mom, that's okay.I love you anyway.'

I said,

'Son, I love you too,and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.'

[FAMILY]

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

I know it sounds cheesy especially the last part FAMILY, sounds like it was taken from I'm Not Stupid Too. But the poem is nice and it teaches us a moral value.

Ok I am going to keep this post short cause I am kinda in a rush. Ok first thing first, Phoebe Chia has left Nan Hua to transfer to Cedar Girls. Shocking...Yeah apparently her parents really wishes her to study in a all girls school. Well on the bright side, a group of Taiwanese students from 高雄福山高中 are visiting us and guess what...our class is hosting them for today and tomorrow. Seriously speaking, I think they should stay for at least 3- 4 days cause I think that 2 days ain't enough. Well never mind that anyway, we had games for the first two hours thus we didn't have Physics and English! Yeah well we played blow wind blow and some other game. Oh before that we had a presentation on our school and Kaixin and Shao Hui had 相声 which by the way, was very funny! * laugh* Then next Sin Yee and Sac sang some songs. After games, had refreshments and drinks. After all the fun, lessons started and stuff. Ok I am going to post pictures of the farewell notes and the blow wind blow game which I only took one picture of it.
