Shall post the long passed Malacca Trip

We set off bright and early at...6.30am! LOL, it's so early that even the birds aren't out flying yet can? Headed towards second link and zoom passed the customs quite briskly cause there's not much people there. Then from there headed straight for Malacca. Reached there at 10.30am or something similar.

First Stop

Some coffee shop owner that has healing power! Ok sounds weird but true. It's not really miracle I would say actually. The old man actually uses needles(those you use in Home Econs but finer and cheaper) and thread it with a red thread and tie a knot at the end. Then from the back of your ear, he would yes, PIERCE through your ear and out it goes. It's not like sewing where your end of the thread stays to the cloth. The man actually pulls it out of your ear and you can hear the "tat" sound. Of course I didn't do it but my mum and her friend tried it and said that it really works. The tour guide said" Woah! Really works leh, not some bullshit!" and my mum said" Eh, 不痛 leh, 你们 try it 下 leh!" Anyway took 30 mins for the entire 40 aunties and uncles to finish their turn.

Second Stop

Lunch at some Peranakan Restaurant. Food's pretty good and for the big finale, we had chendol. A tad too sweet for me though.

Third Stop

Went to a shopping center to shop for an hour. Surprisingly, I can still remember parts of Malacca from my last trip there with the school when I am P6. FYI the shopping center is near the hotel we stayed in the last time. Nothing to buy there cause there's nothing to buy there.

Fourth Stop

Jonkers Walk or Jonkers Street. Can't really remember it. It's really nice and quaint there. I mean what else it's Malaysia's oldest street. Lot's of Nonya shophouses there with make shift souvenir shops, chicken rice stall and lots of souvenir shops that sells portable fans and some other toys. Bought the famous Pineapple tarts and other local foodstuffs. Then I got lost from my family and wandered around aimlessly trying in vain to find them. End up they were like eating Nonya and Penang Laksa and Chendol somewhere deep inside a shop which I had walked past 3 times till my mum's friend said the they are inside. ZZZ...I then had laksa and durian chendol.

No More Stops

Headed for Kulai for dinner before going back to Singapore. Along the way there was a huge jam cause some car crashed into one another probably because it was raining cats and dogs. So for the 2-3 hours to Kulai and the 4 hours to Malacca I was stuck with my mum's wanna be singing stars.

Yes they had a karoke session in the bus while I was trying to drown their voices with songs but to no avail for they were loud.

Anyway the reason why I didn't post this post earlier was that I had a terrible diarrhoea for 3 days (and counting). Plus it's not me alone, even my parents had diarrhoea as well. FYI going to watch Wall-E tommorrow at JE!

Post Pictures

Some sea scene while on the bridge heading for Malaysia

Totally Random

It's really a uncle hor. What I heard was that his mother taught the man the skills. So the namecard is probably left over when his mother passed away.
The Ancient Church. Built in the 19th or 20th Century. Took this while waiting for the uncles and aunties to finish their treatment. The church is opposite the coffee shop btw.
The famous red buildings.

Must be newly added. Didn't see this the last time.

It's time for Sayang Sayang! Had Lunch here

The shop that we had chendol and laksa is filled to the brim with antiques.

The Straits of Malacca. I didn't know we can actually see the Straits leh...Ok being lame here

Anyway won't be posting any sooner cause there's tonnes of Maths Homework and English Homework and Geography Homework. To be exact 3 EOY Maths Paper, 1 English Book Review and 1 Movie Review and 1 sheet of Geography Practise Paper and who can forget Art? Painting our face this time. FYI my father got his iPhone.

Exams are over already! Woo-Hoo! Like I promised, I decided to post today. Shall summarise exam period.

Day 1

Geography. Suck at it, got a 16.5/30 for it.

Day 2

History. Studied for it but didn't really know how to answer the last few structured questions. Just gotta wait for the results.

Day 3

English. Easy though my summary word count is over 120 words.

Day 4

Chinese. Pretty good, I think. Got 42/55 for it.

Day 5

Literature. I studied for it real hard...but I still don't know what's Bumble's character like.

Day 6

Mathematics. One word- FAIL. I didn't even have the time to complete the graph can? Must blame at the stupid lemon tarts. Hate you stupid yellow lemon tart. And the worse thing is, I can actually solve it. LOL

Day 7

Science. Easy. It's the only paper I can finish within time and can still check it 4 times. But what's wrong with the teacher? Attitude problem. Only 2/6 peeps will know...ha ha...plus I heard that she's our new Literature teacher...

Well nothing major happened. Other than the fact that 2 other new students joined 2/6 last week. One's called Ke Lin ( I kept calling him Colin) and the other one is called Quan Jie or something. Anyway, having photo taking tomorrow! Woo-Hoo can skip 10 mins of lesson...Post pictures first while I brainstorm what to write.

Random pictures I took while I was supposed to study History. I got bored from reading it so decided to take pictures for fun...I know so COLOURFUL. But it's black and white, I will fall asleep reading it.

My sister's colourful arrays of highlighters and pens. I "borrowed" them, sort of.

Again, like I told you before, 2/6 have a very wild imagination. Enjoy our work! Did this during English lesson and the funny thing is that how the words are pharsed. Don't know if you can read this but there's this line that says " Rolls of toilet paper were rolling all over the floor." Then I said does that mean that the toilet papers are still rolling? So hilarious can.

So random pictures. The ice cream is nice though on the steep side.

Oh yeah, I am going to Malacca this Sunday. That's it, for now.

Happy Advanced Birthday to Singapore! Shall write a short post and summarise my day in point form.

  • School organised a decorate your classroom in lieu of National Day. 2/6 did a great job though we lost to 2/3 and I didn't think their's were nicer than us. Shall post pictures later.

  • 2/6's Maths teacher, Mr Liu sang during the ND celebration today. It was better than I thought...Shall also post pictures later.

  • Went to watch "Money No Enough 2" at JE. It is super super nice and I think the mother is very 可怜 cause...can't described in words. One thing I learnt, Mothers sacrifice for everyone without any complain. FYI I cried when the mother sacrifice the last two bags of blood for her grand-daughter by pulling away all the tubes connected to her.

  • Tried studying for Geography but fell asleep along the way. Nevertheless, finished reading it.

BTW won't be posting soon maybe up till 20 August cause that's when my tests are over. Got to go MUG! Mug, Mug, Mug

Monday, August 4, 2008 7:51 PM

We had art today and we were supposed to create...Modern Art. So we had to drew a portrait of ourself before painting it in a way that's abstract? Anyway we had to base on a picture of ourself and mind you my picture sucks man. The photographer took my picture when I was not ready and I was like trying to use my tongue to get the food stucked, out from my braces and then...*boom*. Picture done, so I look so weird not that I don't in reality. Anyway posting pictures of the "art".

Can you guess which one is mine? Scroll Down

Qiao Ru's art looks so much like her. BTW what's on Xing Hui's mouth?

The one circled in red is mine. Looks totally ugly.

Remember this date-21 December 2012. It's the End Of The World and also the end of the Mayan Calendar. I am so not kidding, apparently Alvin was quite panaroid about it and I think I am now. Today during ICT ( there was no ICT today cause I think Ms Soh is sick) Peiqi showed us a Chinese newspaper article reporting that the world will come to an end on 21 December 2012. I didn't really read the article properly but it is about the Mayan predicting that the world will come to an end on 21 December 2012. The Mayan were famous for their detailed observance of the solar system and they came out with a calendar that started from 3113 B.C which is the start of the Mayan Civilisation to 21 December 2012. So it means that the Mayan Calendar ends on 21 December 2012. The Mayan were quite accurate as the first dynasty recorded was the ancient Egypt, starting from 3150 BC.

Anyway, the Mayan believes that the solar system revovles around the center of the galaxy and it kinda has day and night and each cycle is 25,625 years and this is like divided into 5 parts, 5,125 years each. So it's kinda like dawn, mid-morning, noon, evening and dusk. We are currently in the "dusk period" and it's going to end soon. So what happens after the "dusk period"? Well we will enter a New World Age or a New World where I think it starts all over again but in a different era or age. According to Peiqi's newspaper article, it says that all the planets in our solar system will be arranged in a row or something and this will result the sun to shine so bright and intense that it will open a door for us to enter the next era where the Mayan had created. The new place is I think a peaceful and harmony place where we will forget our greeds and other desires. Plus Peiqi's newspaper article also mentioned that only those with a pure soul or heart or turned over a new leaf can enter the new age. The Mayan prophecies state that we have 13 years from 1999 to learn from our mistake so as to choose the right path, to correct our desires or something similar. The newspaper also mentioned that all the natural disasters and stuff are signs that we are entering a new era.

What will happen after 4 years? Only time can tell. A WHOLE NEW ERA. 21 DECEMBER 2012

It's a long article but very informative.
